
ASTM A403 is a balanced, austenitic, chromium steel containing columbium
which takes into consideration the end of carbide precipitation,
and thus intergranular corrosion. ASTM A403 is balanced out by the
increases of chromium and tantalum and offers higher creep and
stress rupture properties than A304 and A304L, which may also be
utilized for exposures where sensitization and intergranular
corrosion are of concern.The expansion of columbium likewise
permits ASTM A403 to have outstanding corrosion resistance, better
than that of A321. ASTM A403H is the higher carbon composition form
of ASTM A403 and display enhanced high temperature and creep
properties.
ASTM A403 WP321H fittings wrought austenitic stainless,grade A403 WP321H,they are used for the pressure piping systems of moderate and high temperature services.WP321H is one of the steel grade in A403 standard.Ti as a stabilizing element exists in 321H stainless steel,the H means the element Carbon content is higher than common 321 material.It is better than 321 in terms of high temperature.321H stainless steel has good abrasion resistance in organic acid and inorganic acid with different concentration and temperature,especially has good abrasion resistance in oxidizing medium.It is always used in the manufacture of wear resistant acid containers and pipeline equipment.ASTM A403 WP321H is the most common stainless steel pipe fittings material.
