During the process of high precision electric resistance welding, the accurate locating of nuts on workpiece is an important problem needed to be solved, therefore welding location dowel pin was produced. In the past, KCF welding pins was used extensively, but the pins are electric conductive with only a small insulating layer on the outside surface. When the insulating layer was worn, electric spark will occur and easily damage thread of nuts, leading to unnecessary repair of nuts and affecting production efficiency.
Zirconia ceramic has good electrical insulation, zirconia ceramic welding pins willl have no the same problem as KCF pins. Moreover, zirconia ceramic has very high hardness and good wear resistance, ceramic pins will have much longer lifespan than KCF, it will reduce the process to exchange of welding pins.
